...put this together so i can listen to it...

-bass-
old ass upright through this nasty Orange Cab...

-drums-
that is some major old timey shit right there, we'll get some weird looking marching band kid to hit a huge ass bass drum along with you.

-lead-
ah!  lap steel.  fuck yes.  play it good too!

and one of those Arp Synths that herbie hancock could rock the shit out of.  make it sound like space and chicken nuggets.

and to top it off, an ugly electric violin.
yer gonna need some pedals too.  wah, distortion and delay.

-rhythm-
don't even act like we can find someone to play this.  not even possible.
but you'll do it anyway, and some regular guitars too.

so yeah, faithful readers of the POTAH blog, please assemble this band and let me know when i can come see you perform.
i don't know what the hell your band name is supposed to be, so surprise me!

you shall not be defined by limits, genres or and labeling of musical styles.
you do, however, need to play these songs (any which way you like, obviously).

1.  "My Name is Jonas" as inspired by Weezer
2.  the theme song from the Nintendo Original 8-Bit video game 'The Legend of Zelda'
3.  "Brown Sugar" as inspired by The Rolling Stones
4.  "Mean Street" as inspired by Van Halen
5.  a medley of television themes including, but not limited too: 'Charles in Charge,' 'King of Queens,' 'Dallas,' Ren & Stimpy,' 'Three's Company,' 'G.I. Joe,' 'Space Ghost Coast to Coast,' 'The A-Team,' & 'Night Court'
6.  "Trapped Under Ice" as inspired by Metallica
7.  "Wooly Bully" as inspired by Sam Sham and the Pharoahs
8.  the Monday Night Football theme from 1993

Hibernation

Worm's 2010 top ten!

I'm not gonna say that this was a bad year for music.
quite the contrary, actually.
the quality of what i took the time to actually saturate myself with, was far better than past years.

most years, i have a list of 30-50 to whittle down to my top ten.
this year, it was pretty easy as i only considered about 15..

Best of 2010

 1.  Cathedral/The Guessing Game
 2.  Devo/Something for Everybody
 3.  Robert Plant/Band of Joy
 4.  High on Fire/Snakes for the Divine
 5.  Peter Gabriel/Scratch my Back
 6.  Karma to Burn/Appalachian Incantation
 7.  Gorillaz/Plastic Beach
 8.  Apostle of Solitude/Last Sunrise
 9.  Melvins/Bride Screamed Murder
10. Coffinworm/When All Became None

in the US, we cannot get:
Ghost/Opus Eponymous or Electric Wizard/Black Masses as Metal Blades pressings until 2011, so you bet they will be top 5 for next year instead of making this'.  - worm

whats the point of a blog if you can't pimp your own stuff???

one song off our upcoming album. more to come soon.

this has nothing to do with the above information, its just classic internet:

...fuzzrock fun from the far east...

band - Eternal Elysium
album - Spiritualized

FIND THIS CD and rock the hell out of it.
i got on a big Japanese band kick a couple years ago.
that got started with a Boris and Church of Misery infatuation.
but thanks to the stonerrock.com boards (R.I.P.), i got turned on to this band.
windows down, 80 degrees cruise music.
alas, winter is among us.  pretend time!
and if you are a fan of Cathedral, this will really toot your horn. -worm

Get the Horse Out

well actually, get them IN the playoffs... We won't post much sports stuff on POTAH, but we are all big Colts fans. They need to win out. GO COLTS! I've got Maurice Jones-Drew on my fantasy team... i don't care if he runs for 2 yards and fumbles 5 times Sunday as long as we still win. -pcm

damn, i want to go ride...

These are taken from the Sugar Bear Choppers site.. I've always dug his bikes and just thought these pics are cool as hell. For those who don't know who Sugar Bear is, google them shits.  His front ends are so badass..He's famous for making rideable long bikes.  Here is a 40 over from from 1978.

haha, 60 over!

The artwork is stupid, but the metal is good.

Are those bowling balls or lawn orbs on the moon? While far from being one of my favorite bands, this album is one of the greatest technical death metal albums ever. This album is a nearly perfect album to me. It has it all. Its fast, brutal and its technical. The thing that makes it good though is that these are SONGS. Good songs. So many death metal bands just go for brutality or technicality and forget that if you don't write a decent song, its shit. Monstrosity has some other release that are decent, I suppose, but this is the only one I care about and still listen to. I don't listen to a ton of death metal these days, but when in the mood, this is one of my "go to" albums. I suggest you check it out.

not my doing, but peep this here

soggy bottom boys

check it, one of my favourite spots in indy, El Rodeo.
i like the one on High School Rd, just north of Crawfordsville.
there are a ton of these places i guess, all over the nation.
maybe it is a chain, maybe it is not a very original or unique name for a Mexican Eatery.
...whatever...there are at least 10 in Indy,
but i like the West Side one, so i doubt i will seek out the "others" that may be out there in the vast reaches of the greater Indianapolis area.

i don't menu gaze at places, unless it is the first time i go.
once i find a dish i like, i usually stick with it.
if i wanna try something else, i'll just go to another place.
sure, on subsequent visits to a place, i will sit there and make it look like i am going through the menu for some hidden gem, but what i am really waiting on is for my wife to pick something to fit her pallette, while i try not to gorge on chips and salsa.

well, Nachos el Carbon, at the afformentioned El Rodeo RULES!
grilled chicken, steak and shrimp hanging out in a melty white cheese lake
with some lettuce (i prefer salsa and the green sauce on the tables to the pico they default with it)
all neslted with a hefty portion of tortilla chips.
the bonus of additional chips already on the table to use as a utensil just adds to the already awesomeness.
one of the best parts, i call, "Soggy Bottom Boys."
these are found all the way at the bottom of this plate-of-delight.
the bottom-most chips, that have been saturated witht he melty cheese.
you almost feel sorry for them, they have lost all rigidness and crisp that once proud, almighy tortilla chips posses and have traded it in for a soft, flexible, tasty little cheese spoon to help scoop up that last bit of grilled meat you left on purpose.
mmm...good ol' soggy bottom boy.

10 out of 10 stars everytime.
i would go every day if i could.

and yes, you just read a review for a plate of nachos.
basically the easiest plate of food to pull off.
i mean, really, how can you fuck this up?!?!

there would be a pic posted of said dish, but we haven't made enough money off this blog yet to afford a really nice picture taking machine.
and any picture i google of this sort of food just doesn't do it justice and makes me so hungry i want to punch things.
